The International Council of Nurses states that, ‘The unique function of nurses is to assist the individual, sick or well, in the performance of those activities that contribute the health and prevent diseases in the person concerned, would have performed unaided if he or she had necessary strength, will or knowledge’.
Qualified or fully trained nurses would gain aquitaine themselves with advanced technology of treatment and handling of client in the society. The graduate nurses training programme provide skill in all aspects, develops communication which is essential for practicing of nursing. Degree Course of nursing studies and practical training means to provide knowledge to identify health needs of individual, community health, needs of the state due to its geographical, economic and other factor i.e. available facilities and limitations. If we think in larger perspective nursing colleges are required to provide trained and qualified nurses to meet the present requirement of nation.
